I watch videos like this and others (for example - where NYPD cops are being attacked by illegal migrants, without consequence - watch here) and I just wonder why anyone would stay with this agency?

It seems like there is no support from the politicians who manage the NYPD and waning support from citizens - who seemingly would prefer to live in a violent, leftist utopia - where crime is decriminalized until absolute equity is achieved.

I understand that changing agencies mid-career is difficult and often not reasonable. For example, I stayed with a department that was stuck under a DOJ Consent Decree for the last decade of my career. I could have left, but didn’t. So, I do get it. It is difficult to take a pay cut and switch to a more inconvenient schedule/assignment on the backside of this career.

When you make the job of being a police officer so unpleasant that no reasonable person would do it…. Then no reasonable people will be left to do it.

But I think we should recognize that is the goal. Defunding police and destabilizing communities is the preferred outcome.

Anti-police activists have two general goals:

  1. Defund, delegitimize, and demoralize police.

  2. Disarm law abiding citizens.

The failure to control crime and maintain the quality of life for taxpayers is evidence that this ideology that has been implemented in large Blue cities is trash.

Final Thoughts

  • This arrest took 6 cops when all we needed was 1 Daniel Penny.

  • I don’t know what is worse:

    • Being an NYPD officer or being a normal person on the New York City subway.
