The two main sources of this: 2) the media coverage is overly-obvious bullshit that only is believed by and acted upon within a fairly small segment of black society whose crimes cost the nation BILLIONS every year. You have dumbshits like Al Sharpton, and Barack Obama that take a sliver of a spark and turn it into a friggon forest fire.
The #1 is police refused to police the police for decades. When the uniforms, the hierarchy, and their unions continued to back the bad, everyone else in the ranks became tainted, no matter how good they may have been, or are.
Every field has those that don’t belong. In policing, medicine, POLITICS, business, right down the line.

Police unions represent police officers during administrative matters. To make sure that the city, county, state is following the law when it comes to employment action. They have to. If a police union refuses to equally represent a paying member they can be sued & even lose their status as a union in many states. It’s like criticizing a public defender for defending a guy charged with murder. They have to. They can’t pick & choose their clients.
