Earlier today the wealthy, grifter attorney Ben Crump celebrated the life of George Floyd - as he would have been 50 today.
George Floyd’s death was a tragedy - as all human lives have value and are protected under the Constitution.
Mr. Floyd’s death exposed policy, training, and cultural problems within law enforcement that needed to be examined and updated.
Mr. Floyd’s death sparked conversation - quickly followed by protests, riots, violence, and destruction that police officers of my generation had never witnessed.1
All of those are reasons to keep the memory of what happened to Mr. Floyd in the forefront of our minds. But I have to ask :
Why lie about how he actually lived?
