The only men who are opposed to the actions that Daniel Penny took are those who would quietly and meekly slink into another train car - as a violent maniac threatened elderly women - instead of doing something about it.
The existence of men like Daniel Penny are a reminder to the rest of the pack that the default setting of cowardice can be manually altered with a jolt of testosterone and the will to do the right thing.
The actions taken by Daniel Penny leave no excuse for competent people to stand up and smack the bully in the face - or, make the maniac submit via chokehold on the floor of a crowded subway.

The Pact
Can we all agree that if you threaten to kill strangers in a public setting - there should be a societal blank check that is issued to any competent and capable person willing to intervene - with immunity?
As a society if we do not adequately fund police departments or enact laws that allow doctors to force mentally ill and violent persons into treatment - we are asking the capable amongst us to take responsibility for the safety of our communities. Those who valiantly step up and into situations to preserve life should not be faulted for the failures of the political class.
It is not Daniel Penny’s fault that Jordan Neely was allowed to freely stalk the streets and complete his psychotic mission of terrorizing innocent people. The courts, lawmakers, “advocates”, and Neely’s family are far more to blame for the situation that unfolded.
Deadly Threat
Jordan Neely did threaten to kill people on the subway before Daniel Penny intervened.
According to a witness, Mr. Neely yelled, “I don’t care. I’ll take a bullet, I’ll go to jail”. “I would kill a motherfucker. I don’t care. I’ll take a bullet. I’ll go to jail.”
That is a deadly threat. That is the reason Mr. Penny intervened. It’s not as if Mr. Penny utilized a submission hold because he was annoyed by an off-key rendition of “Billie Jean”.
Mr. Neely issued a deadly threat.
Mr. Penny (and others) took Mr. Neely’s threats seriously.
Swift and decisive action was taken to ensure that Mr. Neely did not follow through with his violent threats.
This is what we want capable people to do in dangerous situations. To stop the bully.
Give Send Go
There are cultural events that act as a societal barometer. Events that inspire, define, and divide us. This is one of those events.
If there is any question where public opinion lands for Mr. Penny - the fundraiser for his criminal defense has exceeded well over two million dollars!
Those who oppose Daniel Penny come from the Antifa and “Defund the Police” wing of our society. The most dishonest and lowest IQ amongst us. We have not taken them seriously in years and armed with truth and basic common decency we will prevail in this particular cultural battle.
This is one cultural battle that good people should fight and that good people can win. We can learn a lot about someone’s personal values based on their opinion of this incident.
