There was an Officer Involved Shooting (OIS) in Boise, Idaho last year.
The offender advanced towards a police Sergeant while holding a knife. The offender refused to drop the knife or stop approaching the Sergeant. The Sergeant only allowed the offender a few steps before he fired his weapon - injuring the offender.
